With recently renovated amenities and increasing competition, the Delray Beach Marriott turned to RFID wristbands, knowing they would offer convenience for guests while delivering the operational efficiencies not available with traditional key cards.

Managers at the Delray Beach Marriott sought an RFID wristband that would act as a visual ID for guest-only areas, and double up as an electronic door key. The wristband needed to be water-resistant, comfortable, and convenient for guests. Additionally, there was a desire to reduce the need for items like towel cards by creating a single RFID wristband to operate across multiple facilities at the Hotel.

This challenge required a wristband maker that had the ability to integrate with the Hotel’s existing RFID door lock system while providing the specific features to withstand the busy, oceanfront environment at the Delray Beach Marriott and ID&C was the perfect fit.

The Solution

Custom RFID wristbands were designed featuring a matte finish, water-resistant RFID card with a comfortable elastic bracelet, suitable for all guests.
The wristbands have the ability to be cleaned/sanitized to improve the reuse rate when compared to traditional key cards.
The wristbands integrated with the Hotel’s existing RFID system, reducing the need for any development costs.
Cost savings from the re-use rate of RFID wristbands outweighed the initial price-per-unit investment.
