ID&C has been manufacturing custom RFID wristbands, security access passes, and lanyards for over 25 years, offering efficient service and design support to bring the latest technology to your ticketing system.
Paper RFID wristbands are both low-cost and high functionality, with embedded RFID chips to allow instant access to authorized wearers, reducing manual staffing requirements and automatically controlling entry permissions.
Our RFID wristbands are made from durable, disposable paper and work well even in damp weather. They are suited for events or venues in place of passes and tickets and can be disposed of responsibly without the carbon footprint of plastic.
RFID Paper Wristband FAQs
How many can I order?
We can produce RFID wristbands in batches of 250 and above, with the capacity to print larger batches for events with substantial numbers of attendees. Our standard lead time is four weeks, and you can select any lettering or branding you wish.
Paper wristbands with an embedded RFID chip are commonly used for the following:
- Sports competitions
- Music events and concerts
- Conferences and business events
- VIP access areas
- Trade shows
- Gyms and hotels
- Cashless venues
Each set of wristbands is customized to your requirements, whether you need a larger batch of several thousand entry wristbands, an economical way to produce single-use access wristbands, or wish to replace older ticketing or entry systems with a contactless, keyless solution.
How Do RFID Paper Wristbands Work?
Our RFID-chipped wristbands fasten with a simple but hard-wearing sticker panel, which is easy to attach without any risk of slipping or becoming undone. Each wristband contains a smart RFID chip, which communicates with a chip reader to activate entry gates or identify the access permissions associated with the wristband.
Are RFID Paper Wristbands Waterproof?
Our paper wristbands are lightly waterproof – they can be worn for indoor or outdoor events and work perfectly even in damp conditions. An alternative such as vinyl is better suited to water-based events such as water parks or swimming pools, but an RFID chip is protected from the elements even if the paper becomes saturated or accidentally submerged. How Long Does a Paper RFID Wristband Last?
Wristbands can be worn for up to two or three days and work well for weekend events or two-day conferences. Paper is comfortable and lightweight to wear, does not tear or rip, and RFID wristbands have a secure fastening strip that cannot be removed unintentionally or torn through normal usage.
What Are Paper RFID Wristbands Used for?
Event management is a key application. Managers can issue wristbands to authorized visitors and assign permissions to different band designs, such as red bands for day one and blue bands for day two entry or green bands for visitors who have paid to attend both days.
Wearers can tap their wristband at touch points or make contactless payments, with footfall tracking to show peak times and the total number of visitors on-site at any one time for fire safety and evacuation planning.
